 Avatar: The Last Airbender (also known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang) is a television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon. The show was created by Bryan Koneitzco and Michael Dante DiMartino who imagined an Asian-influenced world of Chinese martial arts incorporated into manipulating either four elements.The series is led by the adventures of Aang and his friends, who are determined to save the world by defeating the ruthless Firelord and ending the everlasting war with the Fire Nation. Avatar: The Last Airbender has been nominated and won awards for the Annual Annie Awards, the Genesis Awards, the Emmy Awards and the Peabody Awards. A live-action movie (The Last Airbender) was made and released on July 1, 2010 in North America. |
