The Waterbending Scroll - Episode Nine
“It’s good to know this trip was a complete waste of time for EVERYONE!" - Zuko
"Maybe we can find a puddle for you to splash in." - Sokka *few moments later* "Nice puddle."
"What's the meaning of this mutiny!?" - Zuko. The way he said it at 2:35 just seems hilarious.
Iroh's optimistic disregard during Zuko's hissy fits: I've made a specific topic section for this, because it happens too much. Zuko needs to find the Avatar to restore his honour, and they are going off course, JUST so Iroh can find his missing Pai Sho tile. However, later on in the series…we see how important that tile really is.
2:52 Zuko looks really young, healthy and just so cute. Perfect. He's utterly speechless about Iroh's expedition to find his missing lotus tile.
"You've changed our course, for a stupid lotus tile." - Zuko
"See, you like most people, underestimate its value. Just give me ten minutes to check the merchants at this port of [something]. Hopefully, they'll have the lotus tile in stock and I can get on with my life." - Iroh. I'm simply speechless at this statement. 0.o
Kataang's Development 20: [3:45] Katara begins teaching Aang some Waterbending. Oh. Katara is a bit jealous here, but Aang knows how to charm a girl beautifully.
What I don't understand is that why Aang isn't this good when he learns from Master Pakku, whereas he's so intuitive here. He couldn't even hold water for a long period of time, but in this scene…well clearly he can do much more than hold the water.
9: 38 Hey! Cabbage man is back. <3 "My cabbages! This place is worse than Omashu." - Cabbage Man
"It's good to know this trip was a complete waste of time for EVERYONE!" - Zuko (Oh, I love him in this episode…)
"Will you please shut your air hole!? Believe it or not your infinite wisdom gets a little old sometimes. Why don't we just throw the scroll away since you're so naturally gifted!" - Katara
Aww, Aang's going to cry. Just shows how much of a child he is. Though, when I was twelve, I'd never weaken for something as petty as that. She was having a "girl" moment. :D
Zutara's Development 2: Finally! The moment has come where Zuko x Katara can get some action going on. Okay, Zuko holds Katara in his grasp. She looks so frightened at first and I just realized, they're fairly close in height. At 14:58, just look at Zuko's determination and when he says, "I'll save you from the pirates." I nearly swooned in utter delight. I mean, who wouldn't fall for that line. Such a bad boy, offering his aid to such a scared little waterbender - GO ZUTARA!
15: 08 I find the scene where Katara's tied to tree, some dignity coming back into here, and Zuko standing mere inches from her. Wow, that is just too sexy. 15: 14 Oh, Zuko smiled and is this some insight in the future, or is Zuko holding her mother's necklace just in front of her neck. If they were to marry, I could imagine him doing the same thing, but with his fire nation insignia etched on the stone too. *Swoon* And WOW, Zuko's hand was resting on Katara. He touched her! *Swoon* My apologies, I'm a Zutara fan.
Zuko's Development:"Shut your mouth, you Watertribe peasant." - Zuko. He's really mean. No respect. No wonder Sokka disliked him.
Zutara's Development 3: [18:04] the same scroll Katara touched, Zuko as well is touching. Their hands have made contact by a Waterbending scroll. How romantic.
Zuko's Development: Oh my gosh. ZUKO LAUGHED. He's so childish - sticking his finger out like a child sneering at a bunch of losers
"My boat!" - Zuko. Ha-ha. Oh, too funny.
Iroh's optimistic disregard during Zuko's hissy fits: Now Iroh comes in, very unfit, and trying to catch his breath. "Hehe. Prince Zuko you're really going to get a kick out of this. The lotus tile was in my sleeve the whole time." - Iroh.
Zuko is heaving like a mad man. And he swipes the tile out of Iroh's hand, throwing it into the water…and it landed on some pirate dude's head! HAHAHAAHHAA. One of my favourite moments of this episode.
