Mako
At the age of 8, Mako’s parents died, leaving him alone to take care of his younger brother, Bolin. Forced to grow up young, Mako missed out on his childhood and had often used his Firebending to protect himself and his brother while living on the streets of Republic City.
After being discovered by Toza, a former Pro-bender, while fighting on the streets, he and Bolin were invited to live in a room in the attic of the arena.
Mako was one of the top players in the Pro-bending arena and the previous captain of the Fire Ferrets. He and Bolin worked odd jobs, in order to pay rent and focus on Pro-bending.
After the Anti-bending Revolt, Mako became a Republic City police officer.
