Tenzin is an Airbending master and the youngest of Aang and Katara’s three children. He sits on the United Republic Council as the representative for the Air Nation and takes his role in Republic City very seriously. Tenzin feels this is his way in keeping his father’s legacy alive. He is a traditionalist and works hard to protect Air Nomad teachings and culture.

He embodies the peaceful, spiritual and usually calm nature of the Air Nomads. However, Tenzin’s calm tends to be provoked by his boisterous children, Jinora, Ikki and Meelo. He is married to air acolyte Pema and has a total of four children with her.

Tenzin is also Korra’s Airbending teacher and spiritual mentor.
