Republic City is the capital of the United Republic of Nations and is a metropolis made up of people from all nations and bending abilities. During the Hundred Year War, Republic City was only a colony, but after the war Fire Lord Zuko and Avatar Aang founded the city as United Republic’s capital.

Republic City is nestled between majestic mountains off the coast of the Earth Kingdom with high-rise buildings and is a cultural metropolis powered by steampunk-like technology.

Aside from establishing the United Republic of Nations, a government - the United Republic Council - made up of representatives from each nation was established. The council is made up of five members representing the Air Nomads, the Southern Water Tribe, the Northern Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation.

Pro-bending

In Republic City, Pro-bending is a highly popular sport involving two teams of three benders from one of the three bending arts. The goal is to use bending to gain as much territory on the field in a set amount of time by pushing your opponent backwards and if possible, knocking them out of the ring. A team wins a match by winning the most rounds or performing a knockout.

Kuang’s Cuisine is a fancy restaurant located near downtown Republic City. It is known for being an upper-class restaurant with a strict dress code that many lower class citizens of Republic City can not afford to meet.
