The Promise Part 3 is the final chapter of the three-part graphic novel written by Gene Yang and illustrated by Studio Gurihiru. The third instalment of the trilogy will be published by Dark Horse Comics in collaboration with Nickelodeon on September 26, 2012.

Overview

The Harmony Restoration Movement fails to bring peace, and the four nations are pulled back into war. Aang must somehow find a way to fix the rift between himself and Fire Lord Zuko, in the middle of battle, or risk being pressured into killing the backsliding Fire Lord.

• According to Gene Yang, Azula’s fate will be addressed in the third instalment.
• In an interview with Comics Alliance, Gene Yang has said that the comics will conclude showing a gradual transition between the two animated series.
